29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(iv): Electrical equipment contained damaged parts that may adversely affect safe operation or mechanical strength of the equipment, such as parts that are broken, bent, cut, or deteriorated by corrosion, chemical action, or overheating: (a) On or about October 23, 2015, under the boat pre-outfit mezzanine, the employer failed to ensure that employees were protected from energized parts by not replacing a receptacle that contained a broken plug inside. Employees were exposed to electrical hazards. (b) On or about October 23, 2015, on and around the boat pre-outfit area, the employer failed to ensure that employees were protected from electrical hazards by not removing electrical wiring that was cut and damaged. Employees were exposed to electrical hazards. (c) On or about October 23, 2015, on and around the boat pre-outfit area, the employer failed to ensure that employees were protected from electrical hazards by not removing electrical wiring that had been cut and repaired with tape. Employees were exposed to electrical hazards.
