Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to possible explosion hazards: a.Liquid Argon Tank - The company did not adequately maintain the liquid argon storage tank safety relief devices due to the relief devices being encased in ice and snow. b.Liquid Nitrogen Tank - The company did not adequately maintain the liquid nitrogen storage tank safety relief devices due to the relief devices being encased in ice and snow. ABATEMENT NOTE: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to establish a program to inspect and service the safety relief devices to insure they will function properly if
