OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to being struck-by the moving components of a robotic system: a) K-Plant, press area, 6th and Center Streets, Tarentum, Pennsylvania 15084: Observed on or about July 31, 2015, a Schmersal brand solenoid interlock (model number: AZM-170-02ZRK) was bypassed on the barrier guard surrounding a Kukra brand robotic system (model number 125L90/2, serial number 780557) on press #2. Employees working in the area were exposed to struck-by hazards.
