Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards and caught between hazards while performing auto service: (a) Rocco's Collision Service Bays: Annual inspections of automotive lifts including but not limited to the two Rotary two-post lifts (serial # NEI 10C0039 & NEI 10C0038) and two Car-O-Liner Bench Racks (scissor lift) had not been conducted, on or about 7/16/15. (b) Rocco's Collision Service: The employer did not ensure that each operator was instructed in the safe use of the automotive lifts and documented the dates of the required training, on or about 8/18/15. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19
