OSH ACT of 1970 SECTION (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards, electrical hazards, struck-by hazards, and machine guarding hazards: Employees working in the oil field repairing a pumping unit at SWC 20, TWP 19, R 13, 1980 fsl, 1320 fel, Great Bend, Kansas were exposed to hazards such as but not limited to electrical shock, amputations, stuck-by and crushing hazards while working with heavy machinery and equipment. Among other methods, feasible and acceptable methods is to develop and maintain safety and health programs as required in American Petroleum Institute (API) RP 54 Recommended Practice for Occupational Safety for Oil and Gas Well Drilling and Servicing Operations section 6 addresses what should be in a safety and health program. Section 6.1.7 "A safety program should be established and maintained."
