P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of %% 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of getting thrown from mobile equipment: (a)Wood yard - The control room tower structural beams, columns, braces, and connections were corroded to the point of having lost substantial parts and the support for the control room at the top of the tower was greatly reduced by the corrosion and by bolts missing for a cross brace at the north side of the lower section and a detached horizontal beam at the upper part of the north side and cross bracing missing, on or about 2/17/94. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct his hazard is upgrade the structure back to the original condition.
