29 CFR 1926.251(c)(7): Sling legs were kinked: The employer does not ensure all wire rope slings are used without kinks. This violation occurred on or about May 04, 2015, on the south side the construction site where employees were exposed to struck-by and crushed-by hazards while guiding a load being lifted by a JLG rough terrain forklift onto the second floor of a building being constructed without ensuring the legs of the slings were not kinked. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure all slings are inspected and used in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.251.
