Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a) Next to 1474 Olmstead Drive, Bear, DE- Employee was exposed to a fall hazard while installing trusses at a residential construction, approximately 20 feet above ground level. Employees did not have fall protection training, on February 19, 2015. NOTE: Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records. The employer 4 X 4 General Contractors, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501 (b) (13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 998338, citation number 2, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on 12/24/14, with respect to a workplace located at 10 Grant Wood Way, Evesham, NJ.
