29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer shall provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program are understood by employees and that the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage, and removal of the energy controls are acquired by employees: (a) Welding- The employer did not provide adequate training to ensure that employees assigned to perform servicing and maintenance understood the function of the hazardous energy control program. Operators had not gained the knowledge and skills required for safe application and usage of energy controls such as, but not limited to energy isolating devices and hardware. (b) Stamping- The employer did not provide adequate training to ensure that employees assigned to perform servicing and maintenance understood the function of the hazardous energy control program. Operators had not gained the knowledge and skills required for safe application, usage, and the removal of the energy controls such as, but not limited to energy isolating devices and hardware. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
