Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a struck-by hazard when employees worked under a load that was suspended by a crane while employees were installing a concrete sinker block to the riser chain: a. On December 10, 2014, a crane mounted on a barge suspended a hawsepipe buoy above the employees located on an adjacent barge that were installing a concrete sinker block to the riser chain, exposing employees to a struck-by hazard.
