29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: (a) Lake Taneycomo Woods on or about October 22, 2014 had employees handling 1 gallon containers of chlorine at Well House #1 and did not have a shower and eye wash which could provide tepid water for drenching of eyes and body in the immediate area. (b) Lake Taneycomo Woods on or about October 22, 2014 had employees handling 1 gallon containers of chlorine at Well House #2 and did not have a shower and eye wash which could provide tepid water for drenching of eyes and body in the immediate area. Abatement certification is required for this item; use the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1,000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
