Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001I Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1025(i)(3)(i): Employee(s) exposed to lead in excess of the permissible exposure limit (PEL), without regard to the use of respirators, were not required to shower at the end of the work shift: a) In the Welding and Fab Shop, on or about October 17, 2023 - The employer did not require a Machine Operator who was operating the Bodor Laser to shower at the end of their work shift. The Machine Operator was exposed to lead above the permissible exposure limit while cutting stainless steel with the Bodor Laser which resuspended previously settled particulate containing lead from cutting honeycombs coated with tin lead solder on the Bodor Laser.
