29 CFR 1910.134(h)(1): Respirators were not cleaned and disinfected using the procedures in Appendix B-2 of 29 CFR 1910.134 or equivalent procedures recommended by the respirator manufacturer: g) Pinnacle Powder Coating, Inc. located at 61 Saint Marys Street in Norwalk, Ohio; On or about March 28, 2018 the employer did ensure employees cleaned and disinfected tight fitting elastomeric half mask respirators as often as necessary. Prior to the start of a shift, the inside of the rubber face pieces of the respirators were covered in black dust. Employees were exposed to hazards associated with exposures to particulates not otherwise regulated containing 1,3,5-Triglycidyl Isocyanurate while applying powder paint such as, but not limited to, irritation to the throat, skin, and upper respiratory system, hematologic effects, and male reproductive damage.
