29 CFR 1910.134(k)(5)(ii): Retraining was not conducted when inadequacies in the employee's knowledge or use of the respirator indicated that the employee did not retain the necessary training or skill: Gibson Area Hospital and Health Services located at 1120 N Melvin Street in Gibson City, IL. On or about May 3, 2022 and times thereafter, the employer required employees to wear N95 respirators and powered air purifying respirators while working near suspected and confirmed positive COVID-19 patients and the employees did not receive retraining on the prohibition of using a tight fitting N95 respirator when facial hair interferes with the seal of the respirator and inspection and replacement of filters for powered air purifying respirators.
