29 CFR 1926.1101(k)(3)(i): Before work in areas containing ACM and PACM is begun; employers shall identify the presence, location, and quantity of ACM, and/or PACM therein pursuant to paragraph (k)(1) of this section. The controlling employer did not identify the presence, location and quantity of ACM, and/or PACM before roofing work began in that on June 14, 2018, subcontractor employees removed asbestos-containing shingles and the controlling employer informed the subcontractor that the roofing tiles contained good asbestos . Bulk samples revealed that the roofing tiles contained 10.38% chrysotile asbestos and the mastic contained 14.25% chrysotile asbestos.
