29 CFR 1910.1025(e)(4)(i): When ventilation was used to control exposure to lead, measurements which demonstrate the effectiveness of the system in controlling exposure, such as capture velocity, duct velocity, or static pressure, were not made at least every three months: a) In the Welding and Fab Shop, on or about October 17, 2023 - A down draft table and dust collector were used while a Machine Operator was cutting stainless steel with the Bodor Laser which resuspended previously settled particulate containing lead from cutting honeycombs coated with tin lead solder on the Bodor Laser. The employer did not make measurements which demonstrate the effectiveness of the mechanical ventilation system, such as capture velocity, duct velocity, or static pressure, in controlling exposure.
