Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001D Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(d)(4)(iii):Tagout devices utilized were not affixed in such a manner as to clearly indicate that the operation or movement of the energy isolating devices from the safe or off position was prohibited: a.)Precision Compacted Components LLC, DBA APG-Sintered Metals-Wilcox- on or about 7/25/22 and times prior thereto, employees were performing service and maintenance activities on equipment including, but not limited to gasbarre molding press #13. The authorized employee applied a tag to the control panel on the key. The Tagout device is not affixed in a way to prevent the removal or movement of the tag from the machine and was not placed to show that the power to the machine was dissipated. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
