29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(ii)(D):The energy control procedures did not clearly and specifically outline the requirements for testing a machine or equipment to determine and verify the effectiveness of lockout devices, tagout devices, and other energy control. (a) On or about 6/7/2021 - 515 Tyson Road, Ashland, Alabama, in the Second Processing Department, employees using the ECP for the Leg Quarter Hopper Scale, Line #1 and #2 to access the point of operation to perform work were exposed to machine hazards such as struck by, and caught by from energized parts because the ECP did not clearly and specifically outline the requirements for testing a machine or equipment to determine and verify the effectiveness of lockout devices, tagout devices, and other energy controls.
