29 CFR 1910.134(k)(1): The employer did not provide effective training that covered the required elements in 1910.134(k)(1)(i) - (vii): a) The Laurie Care Center located at a worksite located at 610 Hwy O, Laurie, MO 65038: On or about November 2, 2020, the employer did not provide employees with effective comprehensive training that included, but was not limited to how improper fit, usage, or maintenance can compromise the protective effect of the respirator, the limitations and capabilities of the respirator(s), maintenance and storage of the respirator(s), how to use the respirator effectively in emergency situations, including situations in which the respirator malfunctions, and how to recognize medical signs and symptoms that may limit or prevent the effective use of respirator(s). The employer required employees to wear N95 filtering facepiece respirators to protect against the COVID-19 virus while providing care to suspected and confirmed positive COVID-19 residents.
