29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function: FACILITY-WIDE: On or about August 25, 2020, employees were allowed to wear a N-95 filtering facepiece respirators without being clean-shaven. Respiratory protection was required to protect against the SARS-CoV-2 virus while providing care to suspected and confirmed positive COVID-19 residents during an outbreak of COVID-19 at the facility.
