29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2): Employee(s) using tight-fitting facepiece respirators were not fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator: a. On or about April 23, 2020 and thereafter, at the Long Term Care 4th and 5th floors. The employer did not provide fit tests for employees such as Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) who were required to wear tight-fitting N95 and KN95 respirators while providing care to confirmed and suspected COVID-19 positive patients. NOTE: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item as abatement was documented by the compliance safety and health officer during the inspection.
