29 CFR 1926.1405(b): None of the pins (top or bottom) on boom sections located between the pendant attachment points and the crane/derrick body are to be removed (partly or completely) when the pendants are in tension: On April 11, 2017, employees were exposed to a collapsing section of lattice boom attached to an American 5530 truck crane. Employees were removing the lattice boom bottom link pins while the boom was suspended and the pendant lines were under tension.
