29 CFR 1926.955(a)(2): Prior to climbing poles, ladders, scaffolds, or other elevated structures, an inspection shall be made to determine that the structures are capable of sustaining the additional or unbalanced stresses to which they will be subjected. On or about February 27, 2014, prior to two employees climbing the same utility pole #27W7663 located at Stubbs Road in South Lebanon, Ohio no inspection was made to ensure that the pole was capable of sustaining the weight of both employees.
