29 CFR 1910.132(f)(1): The employer did not provide training to each employee who is required by this section to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): a/ MLTK, LLC ShopRite Store #110/Hylan Blvd. Staten Island NY: Shop Home Department. The employers training program did not include the use of personal protective equipment, in that the training provided was generic safety procedures about the facility during employee orientation when hired. Training on when and how to use personal protective equipment, including but not limited to visible vests to be worn when exposed to vehicle traffic, was not provided. Observed on/or about 10/09/2013.
