Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck by or caught between a Front End Loader and other Equipment: (a) On or about 12/29/00 - Employer allowed an employee who was not trained in accordance with the manufacturer's instruction manual to perform maintenance on the Volvo L90B Front End Loader. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to only allow employees who have the training and experience to perform maintenance, in accordance with manufacturer instruction manual, page 72 under section "Rules When Servicing". ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
