29 CFR 1926.405(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords shall be used only in continuous lengths without splice or tap. Hard service flexible cords No. 12 or larger may be repaired if spliced so that the splice retains the insulation, outer sheath properties, and usage characteristics of the cord being spliced: a) On or about February 16, 2012, at the jobsite located 308-312 E. 53rd Street, Chicago, IL. - Employees were performing electrical operations in a rehab using temporary electrical lines that were spliced to service the temporary lights and receptacle outlets, thereby exposing employees to electrical hazards.
