Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001C Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.134(f)(1):The employer did not ensure that employee(s) required to use a tight-fitting facepiece respirator passed the appropriate qualitative fit test (QLFT) or quantitative fit test (QNFT): a. Production Area: On or about June 5, 2025 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to respiratory hazards, in that employees were required to wear NIOSH approved, 3M brand, half facepiece and N95 filtering facepiece dust mask respirators while spray painting or using epoxy and had not been fit tested prior to initial use of the respirators. b. Installing signs in the field: On or about June 5, 2025 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to respiratory hazards, in that employees were required to wear NIOSH approved, 3M brand, half facepiece and N95 filtering facepiece dust mask respirators while installing signs by drilling into concrete walls and had not been fit tested prior to initial use of the respirators.
