29 CFR 1926.452(w)(2): Scaffold casters and wheels shall be locked with positive wheel and/or wheel and swivel locks, or equivalent means, to prevent movement of the scaffold while the scaffold is used in a stationary manner. On or about December 22, 2024, at location 605 N Third Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin: the employer failed to verify that the casters and wheels on the scaffold located beneath the Burns Harbor vessel in the Graving Dock were locked to prevent movement while in-use. Fincantieri Marine Group, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.452(w)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1759523, citation number 1, item number 2-a and was affirmed as a final order on October, 2, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 605 N Third Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.
