29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer did not provide and ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, acids, liquid chemicals, or potentially injurious light radiation: a) Alloy Wheel Specialists, d/b/a Wheel Collision Center - located at 231 Moorestown Dr., Bath, PA - On or about September 17, 2024, an employee using a compressed air nozzle to blow dust from car rims after media blasting with acrylic media blast, was not required by the employer to utilize appropriate eye protection to protect the employee's eyes from flying particles. b) Alloy Wheel Specialists, d/b/a Wheel Collision Center - located at 231 Moorestown Dr., Bath, PA - On or about September 17, 2024, , an employee operating a hoist to raise and lower a rack or rims in/out of a Potassium Hydroxide dip tank was not required by the employer to utilize PPE to protect the employee's eyes and face from thermal and chemical burns. Advanced Machine Systems, d/b/a Wheel Collision Center, was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1580496, citation number 1, item number 2d, and was affirmed as a final order on June 30, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 231 Moorestown Dr., Bath, PA. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photograph or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
