29 CFR 1910.134(e)(1):The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace: a. On or about September 05, 2024, in the United Airline West Ramp Hangar in the Maintenance area: employees were exposed to respiratory illness, in that, a medical evaluation was not performed to determine the employee's ability to use a 3M Half face Respirator with a 3M VOC and P100 combined cartridge while applying Acetone to the interior aircraft during the removal of adhesive tape.
