Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001C Hazard:

29 CFR 1910.134(f)(1):The employer did not ensure that employee(s) required to use a tight-fitting facepiece respirator passed the appropriate qualitative fit test (QLFT) or quantitative fit test (QNFT): (a) Tactical Training Center, LLC. 10A Minneakoning Rd. Flemington, NJ 08822. On or about February 12, 2024 and thereafter, employee(s) were provided and required to use 3M half-face air-purifying respirators during cleaning inside the gun range as part of their weekly duties, for which the employer did not provide fit testing to ensure effective protection for each user. Personal exposure monitoring for airborne Lead (Pb) dust was conducted by OSHA on 2/26/2024 and again on 3/09/2024 during dry sweeping of the back area of the ports using broom and/or dust mop. OSHA's 2/26/2024 sampling measured employee exposure at 3.8 milligrams per cubic meter during 128 minutes of sampling, with zero exposure assumed for the balance of the 480-min work shift. Sampling on 3/09/204 measured employee exposure at 51 milligrams per cubic meter during 88 minutes of sampling, with zero exposure assumed for the balance of the 480-min work shift. These measured exposures represent 2000% and 18000% of the OSHA 8-hour Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL). Employee(s) were exposed to health hazard(s) of toxic Lead (Pb) inhalation.
