29 CFR 1926.251(b)(6)(i): In addition to the inspection required by other paragraphs of this section, a thorough periodic inspection of alloy steel chain slings in use was not made on a regular basis and without consideration of severity and service conditions: On or about June 5, 2023, and at times prior thereto, at the utility construction jobsite, the employer did not adequately ensure alloy steel slings were periodically inspected based on severity of service conditions potentially exposing employees to crush-by and/or struck-by hazards.
