29 CFR 1910.29(f)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that handrails were not less than 30 inches (76 cm) and not more than 38 inches (97 cm), as measured from the leading edge of the stair tread to the top surface of the handrail (see Figure D-12 of this section): (a)American Engineered Products, LLC at 605 4th Street Southeast, De Smet, SD 57231: On or about and at times prior to May 10, 2023, the employer did not ensure that handrails on stairs leading to the shipping area were at the required height. The top handrail was measured from the leading edge of the stair tread at 25.5 inches. This condition exposes employees to fall hazards while using the stairs with inadequate handrail.
