29 CFR 1910.147(c)(3)(ii): When tagout was utilized, additional means were not utilized to ensure full employee protection through the implementation of additional safety measures such as the removal of an isolating circuit element, blocking of a controlling switch, opening of an extra disconnect device, or the removal of a valve handle to reduce the likelihood of inadvertent energization: a.)Precision Compacted Components LLC, DBA APG-Sintered Metals-Wilcox- on or about 7/25/22 and times prior thereto, employees were performing service and maintenance activities on equipment including, but not limited to gasbarre molding press #13. A tag was applied as the energy control measure without additional safety measures being put in place. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
