Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001C Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(f)(3)(ii)(D):Each authorized employee shall affix a personal lockout or tagout device to the group lockout device, group lockbox, or comparable mechanism when he or she begins work, and shall remove those devices when he or she stops working on the machine or equipment being serviced or maintained. On or about March 9, 2022, the employer did not ensure that each authorized employee adequately utilized group hazardous energy control procedures while performing sanitation and disassembly. The East and West mill mix molders both are driven off of the same power source, and not simultaneously disassembled, yet only one employee was required to apply their lock.
