29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program were understood by employees and that the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage, and removal of the energy controls are acquired by employees: 138 Palmer Ave, West Springfield, MA: On December 20, 2021 and at times prior, not all employees were trained on the company energy control program or on the requirements for usage of energy controls. On December 18, 2021, an untrained employee was injured while standing on the sort line conveyor machine to clean items off of the magnet when another employee turned on the machine.
