29 CFR 1910.151(c):Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: a) DECA Commissary (1180 Amphibious Drive, VA 23459): On or about 06/25/2021, employees were assigned to prepare a bleach spray for disinfection of equipment for customer use. Bleach preparation required employees to dilute concentrated bleach and pour the dilution into spray bottles. The bleach preparation process was performed in the chemical sink by the warehouse. The nearest eye wash station to the bleach preparation area was approximately 40 feet away, through a door, and around a significant amount of storage material. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
