29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6)(iii): Employees who participated as hazardous materials technicians, or were expected to participate as hazardous materials technicians, had not received at least 24 hours of training equal to the first responder operations level, and in addition have competency in the areas outlined in 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6)(iii)(A) through (q)(6)(iii)(I) and/or the employer did not so certify: At the Waste Water Area within U.S. Tsubaki located at 106 Lonczak Drive, Chicopee, MA: On June 11, 2021 and at times prior, waste water technicians, were expected to respond to releases of sulfuric acid for the purpose of stopping the release. On June 11, 2021 a waste water operator approached the point of release of a 275 gallon sulfuric acid tote to stop the release. As of June 11, 2021, no waste water operators had received at least 24 hours of training equal to the first responder operations level and did not have all the required competencies as required in 1910.120(q)(6)(iii).
