29 CFR 1910.1030(h)(5)(i): The employer did not establish and maintain a sharps injury log for the recording of percutaneous injuries from contaminated sharps. The information in the sharps injury log shall be recorded and maintained in such manner as to protect the confidentiality of the injured employee. The sharps injury log shall contain, at a minimum: *The type and brand of device involved in the incident, *The department or work area where the exposure incident occurred, and *An explanation of how the incident occurred. (a) Lafayette Leasing, LLC, 225 Waneka Parkway, Lafayette, CO 80026: On or about 3/3/2021, the employer did not maintain a sharps injury log that recorded needlesticks with contaminated sharps. An employee received a needlestick from a contaminated sharp. The needlestick was not entered on a sharps log. This condition exposed employees to a bloodborne pathogens hazard.
