29 CFR 1910.134(k)(1): The employer did not provide effective training to employees who were required to use respirators: a) Inglis House located at 2600 Belmont Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19131: On or about November 17, 2020, the employer did not provide effective training including why the respirator is necessary; the effects of improper fit, usage or maintenance of the respirator; the limitations and capabilities of the respirator; how to use the respirator in emergency situations; how to inspect, maintain and store the respirator; and recognizing the medical signs and symptoms preventing effective respirator use. The employer required employee use of N95 filtering facepiece respirators to protect against SARS-CoV-2 while providing care to suspected and confirmed COVID-19 positive residents.
