29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) The employer is failing to protect employees from chemical hazards. This was most recently documented on August 20, 2020 at the residential construction site located at 14013 W 72nd Shawnee KS. Employees engaged in roofing activities were exposed to chemical hazards. Employees were required to dispense gasoline into an air compressor. The employees had not received training to address and minimize the hazards associated with the chemicals used on site. Chemicals used on site included but were not limited to gasoline.
