29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2): Employee(s) using tight-fitting facepiece respirators were not fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator: a) Hamilton 2 and Madison 2: The employer required the Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), a Minimum Data Set (MDS) Coordinator and an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to wear respirators throughout their work shifts. The employer did not provide a fit test for the Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), a Minimum Data Set (MDS) Coordinator and an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) who were required to wear respirators with confirmed or suspected COVID -19 residents, on or about 4/06/2020 and after. b) Hamilton 2 and Madison 2: The employer required the Certified Nursing Assistans to wear respirators throughout their work shifts. The employer did not provide a fit test for the Certified Nursing Assitants who were required to wear respirators with confirmed or suspected COVID -19 residents. This violation occurred on or about 4/06/2020 and after. This instance refers to OSHA inspection #1486514 opened on 8/5/2020.
