29 CFR 1910.134(g)(2)(i): When there was a change in the work area, conditions, or degree of employee exposure or stress that may affect respirator effectiveness, the employer did not reevaluate the continued effectiveness of the respirator: a) Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center located in the 2C Long Term Care Unit, 3D Step Down Unit and 3C Medical Surgical Telemetry areas: On or about July 1, 2020, the employer did not provide employees who were required to wear N95 respirators to protect against exposure to the SARS-CoV-2 virus a sufficient number of N95 filtering facepiece respirators to exceed the 72 hour expected survival time of the virus when using the employer's respirator reuse method.
