29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2): Employee(s) using tight-fitting facepiece respirators were not fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator: a) COVID-19 Units on 2 West, PCU (Progressive Care Unit), and 4 East, Montclair Hospital, LLC. The employer required a physician to wear an N95 filtering facepiece respirator when providing treatment and care to patients including those under investigation and/or confirmed as COVID-19 positive.. However, the employer did not provide this employee with a fit test to ensure the N95 respirator fit the employee to protect them from exposure to the virus. Violation occurred on or about 3/30/2020.
