29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2): Employee(s) using tight-fitting facepiece respirators were not fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator: (a) Facility, 114-45 87th Ave, Briarwood, NY: On and after April 19, 2020, respiratory therapists and lead respiratory therapists were required to wear tight-fitting filtering facepiece respirators, including, but not limited to, 3M 8200, 3M 8511 and Gerson-1730 N95 respirators, while providing care to suspected or confirmed COVID-19 positive patients. The employer did not ensure the employees were fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator. Abatement Certification and Documentation Required.
