29 CFR 1910.176(b): Secure storage. Storage of material shall not create a hazard. Bags, containers, bundles, etc., stored in tiers shall be stacked, blocked, interlocked and limited in height so that they are stable and secure against sliding or collapse. On or about February 6, 2020, employees were exposed to stuck-by hazards: a) when section 02 of storage racking was not securely anchored to the floor. b) when section 06 of storage racking was not securely anchored to the floor and showed damage to uprights near 06108 and 06112 where the vertical members had been bent. c) when section 08 of storage racking was not securely anchored to the floor and showed damage near 08107 where a significant dent could be seen near the column base plate and the upright near 08108 where the vertical member had been bent. d) when section 12 of storage racking was not securely anchored to the floor and showed damage to an upright near 120114 where a significant dent could be seen near the column base plate. e) when section 13 of storage racking was not securely anchored to the floor. f) when section 18 of storage racking was not securely anchored to the floor. g) when section 45 of storage racking was not securely anchored to the floor.
