29 CFR 1910.107(b)(5)(iv): Space within the spray booth on the downstream and upstream sides of filters were not protected with approved automatic sprinklers. On or about October 29, 2019, the employer did not ensure that the space within the following spray booths on the downstream and upstream sides of the filters were not protected with approved automatic sprinklers: a. At the powder shop, 1st cabinet spray booth, b. At the powder shop, 2nd cabinet spray booth, c. At the powder shop, 3rd cabinet spray booth, d. At the powder shop, cabinet spray booth for primer spraying, e. At the powder shop, spray booth for cup gun spraying, f. At the plating building, spray booth for aerosol paint can spraying. Employees sprayed powders (combustible dusts), primers (flammable), and paint (flammable) at the spray booths and were exposed to fire and explosion hazards.
