29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: a) On June 4, 2019 and at times prior, an employee suffered facial skin burn after being exposed to a cleaning chemical (SHC Extreme II) that was used to clean equipment at the production area. The chemical contains sodium hydroxide and is corrosive. The employees at the production area were not provided with hazard communication training on the chemical used at their workplace.
