29 CFR 1910.30(a)(1): (a) Fall hazards. (1) Before any employee is exposed to a fall hazard, the employer must provide training for each employee who uses personal fall protection systems or who is required to be trained as specified elsewhere in this subpart. Employers must ensure employees are trained in the requirements of this paragraph on or before May 17, 2017. a) On 3/26/2019 the employer did not ensure that employees were properly trained on utilizing fall protection systems to ensure employees understand the hazards associated with working aloft above 4 ft. to prevent falls, two employees were climbing on the backside of the machine cleaning excess coating out of the oven, employee #1 stepped off of an oven vent and fell through a deck opening of 2 ft. X 4 ft. The employee fell approximately 5 ft. to the concrete floor.
