29 CFR 1910.147(f)(3)(i): A procedure was not utilized to afford the employees a level of protection equivalent to that provided by the implementation of a personal lockout or tagout device when servicing and/or maintenance was performed by a crew, craft, department or other group. a). Production Lines - On or about and times prior to October 23, 2018, an energy control procedure (i.e. lockout/tagout procedure) was not utilized when multiple personnel conducted cleaning and sanitizing of a production line (e.g. conveyor belts and rollers), thus exposing employees to caught-in hazards.
